We work with our sister company, On Country Academy To deliver training. This new approach is part of our goal to provide high-quality heritage services, whilst assisting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations to create sustainable futures.
On Country Academy (OCA) is a Registered Training Organisation that uses innovative approaches to deliver training and career opportunities for all participants. On Country’s mission is to support participants not only through the delivery of practical and specialised training, but in their placement into the workforce and ongoing career development post-study.
Training is delivered mostly on-country and is highly practical so members can achieve their study goals. OCA’s dedicated trainers and assessors work with partners to build valuable skills and create new job opportunities within heritage management. Regular participation in surveys, workshops, and discussions is all participants need to develop key skills in heritage and environmental management processes.
Graduates can seek employment as:
- Indigenous rangers
- Heritage field officers
- Aboriginal tour guides and more
