At Terra Rosa, we believe in looking after people, not just the communities we work with, but also our own team. That’s why we’re proud to announce our three-year corporate sponsorship with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) in Western Australia.
Working across vast and often remote parts of WA means that, for many of our team members, access to medical support can’t be taken for granted. Knowing that the RFDS is there and ready to deliver skilled, fast and compassionate care at a moment’s notice gives us peace of mind. That’s why supporting them just made sense.
Why It Matters
Every year, the RFDS provides urgent aeromedical care for 28 people each day across WA. Whether you live in a remote Aboriginal community, work in rural areas, or – like many of our field crew – spend days deep in-country, the RFDS ensures help is never too far away.
This service isn’t just emergency evacuations (although their aircrafts are certainly lifesavers when minutes matter), the RFDS also deliver GP clinics, dentistry, telehealth, medical chests and more, often acting as the only regular healthcare provider in some regions. They quite literally bring the hospital to the bush.
With five aeromedical bases (Broome, Port Hedland, Meekatharra, Kalgoorlie and Jandakot), a fleet of 22 aircrafts and helicopters, and a team of doctors, nurses, pilots, and logistics experts, the RFDS covers more than 2.5 million square kilometres. This makes the area in WA they cover the largest health jurisdiction in the world.
Shared Values in Action
As a consultancy built around cultural heritage and community engagement, Terra Rosa is grounded in respect, service, and collaboration. These values align closely with the RFDS’s mission to deliver equity in healthcare and support people no matter where they are.
A Note of Thanks
To everyone at the RFDS – from the doctors and nurses to the pilots and support staff – thank you for what you do. And to the wider community of corporate supporters who help make it all possible: we’re humbled to be part of something bigger.
This partnership is a small way for us to give back to the communities we operate in, and to say thank you for being there when it counts.
