Today we are excited to announce the launch of the Nyimili Interactive Journey website. Terra Rosa and the members of the Yinhawangka community have been working co-operatively on the Nyimili Project since 2014. A significant milestone in the project, the website explores the significance and history of the Nyimili Range through information captured on the ground with Yinhawangka participants during 2014 and 2015.
The Nyimili Interactive Journey provides a platform to raise awareness about the importance of Nyimili to Yinhawangka and other indigenous people across the Pilbara. Through this and other activities the Yinhawangka people hope to protect Nyimili for future generations.
The Nyimili project would not have been possible without the hard work of the Yinhawangka participants, and the support of the Yinhawangka Aboriginal Corporation and the Yinhawangka Trust. A big thank you to everyone who made this project possible (a full list of acknowledgements can be found on the site).
Please visit the Nyimili Interactive Journey website to learn more about this important place.
