Terra Rosa Turns 12!

To celebrate this momentous occasion, we thought we’d take a look back at our top moments over the past 12 months. There is no denying it has been a tumultuous year, but it has also been a successful year that has brought us closer to community, Country and mission.

Check out our top five achievements over the past year:

40 Under 40

Earlier this year, Terra Rosa’s founder Scott Chisholm was announced a winner at Business News’ 40 under 40 Awards.

These awards acknowledge and honour Western Australia’s leading entrepreneurs, innovators, and future business leaders. As a company, we are so thrilled to see Scott receive recognition for everything he does here at TR and beyond. He really has made and continues to make a positive impact on the Western Australian community from local sports club and TR Foundation involvement to forging empowering relationships with Traditional Owners.

Great work Scott – we can’t wait to see what you do next!

Staff Training

Staff training has been and always will be a pillar of TR, but this past year more than ever, training has become more important than ever during these unprecedented times. We pride ourselves on being proactive in ensuring our staff can develop and maintain key skills and values of TR along with being able to understand the direction and goals of the company.

This training also formed the backbone for our COVID-19 recovery as we returned to in-office and on-field work.

The focus for this year’s training was to establish operational requirements in light of COVID restrictions, provide a methodological refresh, enable the senior consultants to share knowledge with the entire team, and, of course, reiterate our company values.

Continuing the Implementation of our Reconciliation Action Plan

Implementing our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) has enabled us to support our efforts to reconcile with both the clients we work with and with our internal team. Our RAP is a strategic document that supports our contributions to reconciliation both internally and within the local communities, we work in with.

We are proud of the progress we have made so far and are excited to keep working on our commitments with reconciliation as a forefront value here at Terra Rosa.

As we forge forward, we hope to create a team that is strengthened by respectful relationships between Terra Rosa, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider Australian community.

Social Surroundings Work

The strides we’ve made towards our Social Surroundings work in an effort to protect and maintain culturally significant sites, protocols and preservation of culturally symbolic flora and fauna have continued over this past year.

Working with companies while facilitating conversations with Traditional Owners, has enabled issues related to construction, mining, and other industries to be rectified as we work to form appropriate and fair development strategies. These efforts aim to minimise the negative impacts on Traditional Owners’ intrinsic connections to Country.
